Our story

Twenty-five years fighting the same battle, this time, with better odds

For 25 years, Jeff Knowlton worked as a hospitality technology CIO, helping hotel chains and groups solve a problem the industry never fully wins: distribution.

Every year, hotels hand over 20–30% of their revenue to online travel agencies in exchange for visibility, and every year, the technology fight to claw back direct bookings starts over again.

Watching AI assistants become the newest front in that same battle, Jeff saw the next shift coming early: travelers are starting to ask Claude and ChatGPT to find them a place to stay, the same way they'd ask a friend. Hotel chains have the technology budgets and teams to fight for a seat at that table. Independent vacation rental owners, the people running one or two properties on their own, have neither.

That gap is why Jeff founded StayVisible.

As a vacation rental owner himself, he wasn't just solving an abstract distribution problem, he was looking for a way to make this work for his own property, and realized the same answer could help every other owner facing the identical squeeze.

The mission is direct: bring the same AI-discoverability infrastructure that large hospitality groups can afford to the individual owner, at a price that makes sense for one property, not a thousand, so a host running a single beach house can compete for direct, commission-free bookings the same way the big chains do.
